I graduated from Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS) as certified technical translator in 1997 and took on my first in-house position at International Translation & Publishing (now SDL) in Bray, Ireland.
After two years, I moved to the United States and worked as in-house translator with JD Edwards (now Oracle) in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. I was in charge of translating the technical vertical and also contributed to the development of internal translation tools.
In 2003, I returned to Europe and started to work as freelance translator. Since then, my main subjects are information technology (IT) and new media while focusing on iOS and macOS.
I am a member of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ).
