Stefan Klöckner
As a certified technical translator with extensive expertise in IT and new media, I have been delivering high-quality translations for over 20 years. My journey began in 1997 when I graduated from Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS), Germany, and embarked on my first in-house translation assignment at International Translation & Publishing (now SDL) in Bray, Ireland.
Two years later, I ventured across the Atlantic to the United States, joining JD Edwards (now Oracle) in Denver, Colorado. During my time at JD Edwards, I was responsible for translating the entire technical vertical, including user manuals, software documentation, and technical specifications. I also contributed to the development of internal translation tools.
In 2003, I returned to Europe, embracing the role of a freelance translator. Since then, I have honed my skills in translating user manuals, software documentation, technical specifications, and other IT-related materials, with a particular focus on iOS and macOS.
I am fluent in English and German, and I have a strong understanding of both technical and non-technical subjects. I am a highly organized and efficient translator, and I am committed to providing high-quality translations that meet the needs of my clients.
I am also a member of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ) in Germany.
